Mission Statement

Ensuring quality work for our residents.

Purpose & Function

Building Inspection is crucial to ensure the safety and welfare of our citizens during all stages of building construction. Building Inspection saves home and business owners money in the long run by preventing poor quality work from being performed. Building Inspections gives our residents peace of mind knowing all construction is done properly.

Department Services

The Code Enforcement Department offers inspections for any building project within Princeton city limits. Please contact us to request an inspection.

The City and Code Enforcement officials understand that the integrity of buildings may degrade over time. Thus, there is a need for Code Enforcement to inspect areas of degradation to ensure that they are not a danger to the community at large. Once an area is identified through inspection, Code Enforcement officials work with the property owner to bring about NBIC compliance.
