Mission Statement

The Public Works department is dedicated to making the City of Princeton a beautiful and safe place to live.

Purpose & Function

The purpose of Princeton Public works is to assist the community in keeping safer roads and signs, to clean up the litter around town, and garbage pickup. We also handle storm water repairs and build new things for our community at the request of the City Manager. We handle the mowing and trimming along city right of ways and also the removal of trees along the roads and in the parks. We handle snow removal and the plowing and treating of roads and do repair work to the street lights in town. We are always looking to make our community both safer and fairer to all residents and businesses and travelers. We also assist all the other departments within the city as needed.

Since we're are always on the go, you are likely to see us out in the city, working. From mowing grass to keeping the streets litter free to taking special orders for residential pick-ups, we’ve got it covered.
