Mission Statement

The mission of Princeton Economic Development Authority is to unite with members of our community to create ideas, gather funds, support commerce, and encourage growth of our local economy.

Purpose & Function

Princeton Economic Development Authority (PEDA) was formed in 2021 to expand, cultivate, and support commerce within the City. PEDA exists to make doing business in Princeton as easy as possible through making sure our local entrepreneurs have the tools that they need to succeed in a competitive market.

Department Services

PEDA works with businesses and community members to expand and grow the City of Princeton, WV. We work to help businesses create business plans, find a property, make connections, and more. We also work alongside other Southern West Virginia EDAs and local governments to strengthen our local economy and bring more business to Princeton.

Special Initiatives or Projects

PEDA and the Community Improvement Commission (CIC) offer a Beautification Grant to Princeton businesses. Our matching grant program provides funding to owners of businesses who wish to make improvements to their existing building’s facades. Learn more at the PEDA website.

New businesses opening in the City of Princeton are eligible to apply for the New Business Tax Incentive, a program that waives B&O Taxes for the first year of business within Princeton City limits. This incentive is offered by the Princeton City Council to encourage the growth of new business in the City. Learn more at the PEDA website.
